White House Guardianships (WHG) is a family run business based in Bournemouth (but with offices in Edinburgh), that for over 30 years has been caring for international students aged 7-18 studying at schools across the UK. Last year, we were guardians to students from 44 different countries who stayed for varying lengths of time, from one week to full academic years.
 
A big part of our student’s experience is living with a British host family. We are constantly recruiting families who would like to host our international students to offer them a ‘home away from home’. Our students across Scotland are in boarding schools and require host families during half terms in October, February, and May and on occasions weekends and odd nights through the Academic Year.
 
Our local guardians, Sam and Andrea have been looking after our students and recruiting host families in Scotland for a number or years. Sam and Andrea organise the placement of our students in host families and are the main contact for all our host families. We’d be delighted to hear from you if you would like to know more about becoming a WHG host family and welcoming some of our students into your home.
