St Mary’s Music School is a co-educational, non-denominational specialist music school, offering a world class standard of music and academic education to musically gifted children aged 9-19 years. It is also the Choir School of St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh. It attracts day and boarding pupils from across Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Europe and internationally. 
 
In addition to being a specialist music school where music is studied daily (making up to 60% of the school timetable), St Mary’s Music School offers Instrumental Taster Days, Be a Chorister Afternoons and Saturday Music Classes throughout the year. Instrumental Taster Days are open to pupils aged 9 – 16 who play any orchestral instrument or the piano, Chorister afternoons are for primary pupils P3 –P5 who enjoy singing and Saturday Music Classes are for children aged 4 to 12 and include group instrumental tuition, Kodaly, singing, theory and individual instrumental tuition for children ages 7+.
