Our distinctive ethos encourages each girl to be herself in an environment expressly designed for girls. Through a wealth of opportunities and an ethos promoting high expectations, girls gain confidence and develop ambition so that they may achieve their full potential.
 
We have girls as young as three and as old as eighteen. Boys are welcome in our nursery and stay until the end of P4. This offers a solution for families who plan to send a son on to Merchiston from the age of 7 plus. There will be opportunities for boys to visit and experience a flavour of life at Merchiston, providing a smooth transition for those who choose that route.
 
The school is set on one beautiful eleven-acre campus in Murrayfield, with all facilities and sports fields on site.
