Join us for a panel discussion at Cargilfield School.
As parents, we all want our children to have the best possible education. In a period of economic and political uncertainty, we believe it is important to stay informed and prepare ourselves for the future. That's why we have invited a panel of specialists to discuss the challenges faced by independent schools and their parents.
The conversation will focus on the impact of a change of government, including the proposed introduction of VAT and likely changes to other taxes and the potential impact this would have on the schools’ market and the UK economy. The discussion promises to be insightful and thought-provoking and our audience will be able to submit questions in advance or directly ask questions on the day.
Simon Dewar, Regional Director of Rathbones will host our panel of experts including:
Lorraine Davidson, Chief Executive of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools
William Hobbs, Head of UK Multi Asset Wealth at Barclays
Sean McGinness, Head of VAT at Saffery
Mark Prentice, Head of Banking, Hampden & Co
Rob Taylor, Headmaster at Cargilfield
The panel will be held on 22nd February from 6pm - 7pm at Cargilfield School (45 Gamekeepers Road, Edinburgh) and will be followed by drinks and a chance to network with our panellists, their colleagues and others.
RSVP to events@cargilfield.com (ref: Panel Event) by 7th February to secure your spot or visit our website at Cargilfield Panel Discussion for more information. Please do extend the invitation to anyone else who might benefit from this discussion.
