Edinburgh Design School is set to deliver new, Full- time Foundation and Diploma courses in Art & Design Ceramics from August 2025.
We are a leading independent ceramics school founded in 2012 and based in central Edinburgh. Our new courses are aimed at teaching the next generation of creative potters and ceramics sculptors here in Scotland.
Our Foundation in Art & Design Ceramics is a full - time single year course aimed at teaching students the skills they need to enter Diploma or Degree level study or to simply foster a passion for working with clay.
Our Higher National Diploma is a two year intensive programme of study aimed at teaching students the skills the need to enter industry as a potter or ceramic sculptor.
These nationally devised awards are validated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The courses are taught by highly experienced teacher, ceramicists each with their own profile in the Creative Industries. The courses are very practical, taught by assignments and aimed at school leavers and adults with a passion for developing skills in pottery and ceramics.
